Welcome to Gold Lake Point

Gold Lake Point was created as a place to slow down, gather, and reconnect, with nature and with one another.

As a privately owned and intentionally managed estate, we host only a limited number of stays each year to preserve the quiet, privacy, and character of the property.

Here, luxury is not defined by excess, but by space, stillness, and thoughtful details that allow you to settle in and feel completely at ease.

An Intentionally Kept Place

Gold Lake Point is cared for as a retreat rather than a rental.

Each season, improvements are made with restraint, protecting the shoreline, the forest, and the calm atmosphere that make the property special. Our goal is simple: every group experiences the estate as if it were their own, uninterrupted and unhurried.

Scandinavian Log Architecture

The lodge is built in the Scandinavian log tradition, architecture designed for longevity, comfort, and harmony with its surroundings.

Each log is individually fitted, creating natural insulation, soft acoustics, and a warmth modern construction rarely achieves. The wood regulates humidity and temperature throughout the seasons, making the interior feel grounded year-round, cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

More than a material, the timber shapes the experience; quiet rooms, the subtle scent of wood, and a sense of permanence that encourages you to slow down the moment you arrive.

The Kawartha Lake System

Gold Lake sits within an interconnected network of lakes and waterways in the Kawartha region; offering both exploration and stillness.

While neighbouring lakes are accessible by maintained routes, the system is not fully lock-connected, naturally limiting heavy through-traffic and preserving the area’s unhurried character.

From the dock, you can travel to nearby lakes including Mississagua, Catchacoma, Beaver, McGinnis, Cavendish, and Cold Lake; exploring a wider landscape while always returning to a peaceful home base.

The surrounding waterways include quiet rivers and canoe routes, allowing slower, more immersive ways to move through the landscape.

Part of this system borders protected parkland, preserving undeveloped shoreline, clear water, and the sense of wilderness that defines the area.

Together, the lakes offer a rare balance, access to adventure without congestion, and space to experience nature without interruption.

A Different Kind of Stay

We host only a small number of groups each season so the experience never feels commercial.

Gold Lake Point is not designed for volume. It is designed for Unique luxury.

Whether the days are active or slow, the property adapts, becoming a place to gather, celebrate, rest, and return to year after year.
